The header is constructed with 409 steel with 3\/8' thick flanges that are double welded and then ported for optimum flow. The piping is extra thick for added strength and to allow better weld penetration. These strength features add longevity and make a header that will be able to take the abuse of a firmly mounted K-swap engine. The strong interlocking flex-pipe can handle a lot of heat and has a 2.5' ID (Inside diameter). It flows very well and absorbs engine movement. Like our other headers, they are designed to fit most K-swap chassis perfectly. The header does not interfere with shifter mounting kits and is well centered in the exhaust tunnel. The 3-bolt exit flange prevents leaks and allows for installation to the existing exhaust piping with minimal modification. We wanted to maintain a high level of quality because our stainless headers have had a good reputation for several years now. Our 409 Series Headers are exactly like our stainless steel headers, we only changed the material to save our customers a few dollars. The raw steel finish can be high heat coated or painted to resist rust or left as they are to let nature have its way. These headers are intended for use on simpler street cars that are more about function rather than looks and to be honest some hoods are only opened when needed.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e The exhaust parts market is filled with a lot of knock-offs, misinformation and deception. We aren't going to bring company names into this conversation, but some of these replica producing companies are currently selling exhaust products that are said to be X material when in fact the material is not even close to what they say it is. Not all the fault lays on the reseller because there is a lot of mystery material coming out of Asian manufacturing. What some advertise as 304 stainless has been found to actually be 200 series. Another cheat we have seen is cutting down the wall thickness of the piping to cut the cost. The problem with using a thinner gauge material is it weakens the product and can cause premature cracking. Part of the problem is that a K20A, A2 or Z1 engine mounted in a K-swapped car (EG\/DC2\/EK) sits approx. 3\/4\" lower when compared to the older B engine. The other problem is the oil pan on these engines is made of cast aluminum which does not hold up well if it is hit by something hard. The result is usually a crack or even worse, the pan shatters and takes off a piece of the block girdle with it.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e K-Tuned Oil Pans are made with thick gauge powdercoated steel which will more than likely just dent if they get hit. Choose to buy our complete kit with oil pan, magnetic drain plug with K logo and a set of 16 bolts which are needed if installing on a K20A\/A2 or Z1 engine. Most people forget or don't know that the original bolts for the aluminum pan are longer and will not work with the steel pan. The other option is to buy the pan only with no drain plug or bolts, which is perfect for guys replacing an existing damaged pan or who are building a new engine. This shifter is designed to be used in all EF, DA, EG, DC2 and EK chassis and of course, as the title states, this unit installs with absolutely no cutting of the exhaust tunnel and allows you to keep your stock center console in place. It can be used with all OEM and aftermarket 02-04 RSX shifter cables. 05-06 RSX shifter cables will work with but with slight modification. Construction is 90% billet aluminum with mix of stainless steel, brass and delrin. All materials used were chosen to create a strong and reliable shifter with outstanding feel. The shifter has three pivot points that were made for long term wear. However, the shifter can be rebuilt easily with replacement bushings. There are 2 settings for the front to back throw that are easily made at the top section of the shifter. A progressive rate neutral return spring is used just like the ones that are used in the OEM design. To install the shifter on a manual transmission chassis use the OEM rear shifter holes and simply drill 2 more holes up front, thats it. The aluminum mechanism for the shifter will then bolt in place up top and the arms will pass down through the factory shifter hole. The bottom section where the cables are connected is fully sealed and 100% leak-free unlike some other designs where water and exhaust gases can actually get inside the shifter and the cabin. Our No-Cut Shifter was on the design table here at K-Tuned for almost 5 years. Despite making a handful of prototypes, most of them never met our high expectations. This part was challenging to make due to space constraints. Trying to fit a handful of moving parts in the confined space under the Honda center console without cutting anything was the first hurdle. The second and most important to us, was still keeping all those moving parts strong and reliable enough to avoid failures. This shifter is designed to be used in all EF, DA, EG, DC2 and EK chassis and of course, as the title states, this unit installs with absolutely no cutting of the exhaust tunnel and allows you to keep your stock center console in place. It can be used with all OEM and aftermarket 02-04 RSX shifter cables. 05-06 RSX shifter cables will work with but with slight modification. Construction is 90% billet aluminum with mix of stainless steel, brass and delrin. All materials used were chosen to create a strong and reliable shifter with outstanding feel. The shifter has three pivot points that were made for long term wear. However, the shifter can be rebuilt easily with replacement bushings. There are 2 settings for the front to back throw that are easily made at the top section of the shifter. A progressive rate neutral return spring is used just like the ones that are used in the OEM design. To install the shifter on a manual transmission chassis use the OEM rear shifter holes and simply drill 2 more holes up front, thats it. The aluminum mechanism for the shifter will then bolt in place up top and the arms will pass down through the factory shifter hole. The bottom section where the cables are connected is fully sealed and 100% leak-free unlike some other designs where water and exhaust gases can actually get inside the shifter and the cabin. Our No-Cut Shifter was on the design table here at K-Tuned for almost 5 years. Despite making a handful of prototypes, most of them never met our high expectations. This part was challenging to make due to space constraints. Trying to fit a handful of moving parts in the confined space under the Honda center console without cutting anything was the first hurdle.
